# MySA WhatsApp

> Send WhatsApp messages around your calls from MySA's own WhatsApp number, with no WhatsApp Business account, Meta setup or API key of your own.

MySA WhatsApp is MySA's own WhatsApp API. Messages go out from MySA's WhatsApp business number, using templates MySA has already got approved, and each message is charged from your wallet.

## Who it is for

| You have | Use |
| --- | --- |
| No WhatsApp Business account, or no time to set one up | **MySA WhatsApp** |
| An AutomateChats account | **AutomateChats** in [On Call Messaging](https://business.mysmartassistant.ai/docs/whatsapp#on-call-messaging) |
| Your own WhatsApp Business Account on Meta | **Meta WhatsApp API** in [On Call Messaging](https://business.mysmartassistant.ai/docs/whatsapp#on-call-messaging) |

Only one provider sends at a time. Turning MySA WhatsApp on makes it the one that sends; your other provider and the rules built on it stay saved, and you can switch back whenever you like.

## Turn it on

1. Open **Integrations → On Call Messaging** (Owner only).
2. Press **Add a message**, or **Change provider** if another provider is already sending.
3. On the **Provider** step, open the **MySA WhatsApp** card and press **Turn on MySA WhatsApp**.

_Choose a messaging provider_

The card shows your price per message. Once it is on, the screen says **MySA WhatsApp is on**; press **Choose a template** to go on.

## Choose a template

You pick from MySA's ready-made templates, already approved by WhatsApp. Search by name, or filter by language and category; the **Message preview** shows the message with example values.

_MySA templates_

After the template, the rule is built exactly as with the other providers: **Trigger** (when it sends), **Variables** (what fills each `{{1}}`, `{{2}}` …) and **Review**. The steps are described under [Set up a rule](https://business.mysmartassistant.ai/docs/whatsapp#set-up-a-rule).

## Request a new template

Need a message that is not on the list? On the **Template** step press **Request a new template**:

1. **What is the message for?** For example, *Send our price list after the call*.
2. **Message text.** Write the message. Put anything that changes per customer in curly brackets, like `{name}` or `{link}`.
3. Press **Send request**.

_Request a new template_

Your request becomes a support ticket. MySA creates the template, gets it approved by WhatsApp and adds it to your account; you get updates on the ticket. WhatsApp decides what it approves, so the final wording can differ from what you wrote.

## Price and refunds

Each message is charged from your wallet at the price shown on the card: ₹1.50 per message, unless MySA has agreed a different price with you.

Sending a lot of messages? For the best price on your volume, [talk to sales](https://business.mysmartassistant.ai/contact).

- **Not enough balance:** the message is not sent and nothing is charged.
- **WhatsApp refuses the message:** the charge is refunded.
- **WhatsApp reports later that it could not deliver it:** the charge is refunded to your wallet.
- **Delivered:** the charge stays, even if WhatsApp reports an error for that message afterwards.

Every charge and refund shows in your wallet history. See [Wallet & pricing](https://business.mysmartassistant.ai/docs/wallet-pricing).

## What it does not do

- It sends **On Call Messaging** templates only. It cannot send [WhatsApp broadcasts](https://business.mysmartassistant.ai/docs/whatsapp-broadcasts).
- Messages come from MySA's number, not yours, and customers' replies do not arrive in your **Conversations**. To chat with customers on your own number, [connect your WhatsApp number](https://business.mysmartassistant.ai/docs/whatsapp#connect-a-number).
- You cannot write your own templates directly; new ones go through **Request a new template**.
