AI calling for textile business means an AI voice assistant makes the short, repeated trade calls a mill, wholesaler or weavers' firm makes every week: new range announcements, reorders, sample checks and payment reminders. With MySA Business the calls go out from your own number, in each buyer's language, and every call comes back as a recording, summary, sentiment and tags. Your team then rings the people who said yes, not the whole list.
Where the textile trade sits, and the language of each call
The trade runs in clusters, each with its own product. A firm in one cluster sells to retailers in many states, so the call language often follows the retailer, not the mill.
| Region | Clusters and what they are known for | Call languages that fit |
|---|---|---|
| South | Tiruppur knitwear, Coimbatore spinning, Erode and Salem handloom and textile markets, Madurai | Tamil, English, Hinglish for buyers in the north |
| North | Ludhiana hosiery and woollens, Panipat home furnishings, Amritsar, Kanpur, Meerut | Punjabi, Hindi, Hinglish |
| West | Surat sarees and synthetic fabric, Ahmedabad mills, Bhilwara polyester-viscose suiting, Jodhpur, Silvassa and Daman | Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, Hinglish |
| Deccan | Solapur chaddars and terry towels, Warangal, Davangere, Amravati | Marathi, Telugu, Kannada |
| East and handloom belts | Varanasi and Bhagalpur silk, Sambalpur, Kannur and Imphal handloom | Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Malayalam, English |
You set the call language per campaign, and a language column in your file can change it for one retailer. Hear a test call in each language before buyers do; how natural it sounds is for you to judge. For the local side, see AI calling in Surat and AI calling in Ludhiana.
New-range calls to retailers across India
The busiest calling week is the one when a new range lands: winter knitwear, a wedding saree collection, festive bedsheets and curtains. Every retailer needs to hear about it, and most will say "rate list bhejo" or "next week call karo".
Upload the retailer list from Excel into an outbound campaign. Put each retailer's last order in columns var1 to var15 and write them into the purpose, so the call says something specific: "Pichli baar aapne {var1} liya tha, uski nayi shades aa gayi hain." A Scheduled campaign with Split over days calls a fixed number each day, so callbacks reach your team at a pace it can handle. The campaign docs show the file format.
Example — a Ludhiana hosiery wholesaler calls a retailer in Lucknow. The firm is made up.
AI: Namaste Gupta ji, Ludhiana se ABC Knitwear bol rahe hain. Winter ki nayi range ready hai, thermal aur ladies cardigan dono. Is baar kitne dozen ka plan hai aapka?
Retailer: Abhi pichla maal pada hai. Rate list WhatsApp kar do, parso call karna.
AI: Ji, rate list team bhej degi. Main aapko parso dobara call karwa deti hoon.
After the call the wholesaler sees a summary ("old stock pending, wants rate list on WhatsApp, call back day after tomorrow"), a neutral sentiment and the tags you set up, such as Rate list or Reorder. The call-back sits in Follow-ups for the day the retailer named, in the same language. Sending the rate list is still your team's job; the summary is what makes sure nobody forgets it.
Sample dispatch, order confirmation and reorder reminders
Between ranges, the calls are smaller and constant:
- Sample dispatch. "Swatch card bhej diya hai, mila kya?" A call to each buyer who was sent samples asks whether they arrived and which designs they liked.
- Order confirmation. Before a bulk order is cut or dyed, a call confirms quantity, colours and delivery date from your file. A change is noted, and a call that needs a person is flagged Needs a human in Call Logs.
- Reorder reminders. Every few days calls the whole list again on a gap you set, up to 30 days apart. Untick Skip people already reached so regular buyers are called every round.
If your order system has an API and Custom APIs are enabled for your workspace, the AI can read a buyer's open order status just before dialling.
Payment reminders to buyers
Credit is part of the textile trade, and chasing it eats phone time. A payment-reminder campaign can call each buyer with their own bill number, amount and due date from your file: "Aapka bill {var1}, {var2} rupaye, {var3} ko due tha."
| Buyer says | What the AI does |
|---|---|
| "Is hafte bhej dunga" | Notes the promise in the summary |
| "Shukravar ko call karna" | Schedules a call-back for Friday in Follow-ups |
| "Ye bill galat hai" | Notes the dispute in the summary for your accounts team |
| "Seth ji se baat karao" | Transfers the call to the person you named, if call transfer is set up |
| "Kitna discount doge?" | Answers only from your approved Business Details, never invents a term |
The AI does not collect money, send a payment link or touch your accounts. It tells the buyer what your file says and brings back the reply.
Export and bulk enquiries on WhatsApp and Instagram
Bulk buyers who find you through a catalogue or a reel usually write first. With WhatsApp smart reply, each message is answered from your Business Details in the buyer's language: minimum order, GSM, fabric, lead time. WhatsApp Auto-Call can ring a buyer right after they message, if your workspace has it. On Instagram, price comments can get a DM reply, and every Indian mobile number written in a DM is saved as a lead. Export negotiations stay with your team. See WhatsApp automation in Surat for the chat side.
Festive and wedding-season campaigns spread over days
Diwali and wedding-season orders come in a short window. A Scheduled campaign with On dates I pick calls the same list on, say, launch day, a week later and the last week before the season, with Skip people already reached leaving out retailers who already spoke to the AI. Each round's report shows how many new people it reached, so you can stop when a round adds few. Calls are held during your DND hours, and Scheduled runs call only between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM IST.
A video assistant on your own store website
Many home-furnishing, saree and handloom businesses also sell on their own website. Saathi puts MySA there as a video agent: a visitor taps the call bubble and asks "cotton double bedsheet, 2,000 ke andar?", and the agent searches your site, opens the matching product and points at the price. It answers from your Business Details, starts in a language you choose such as Tamil, Gujarati or Hinglish, and every call appears under Saathi → Video calls with a summary. See the Saathi docs.
What works today, and what it does not do
| Works today | Does not do |
|---|---|
| Calls your retailer list with each one's own range, bill or order details | Send the rate list or catalogue during the call |
| Spreads a long list over days, or repeats it on dates you pick | Send SMS or email blasts |
| Call-backs on the day the buyer asked, in the same language | Collect payments or send payment links |
| Reads live order status from your API, if Custom APIs are enabled | Know stock or prices that are not in your Business Details or API |
| Answers WhatsApp and Instagram enquiries from your Business Details | Listen to WhatsApp voice notes or answer WhatsApp calls |
| Keeps a recording, summary, sentiment and tags for each call | Keep turn-by-turn transcripts |
These are scenarios, not customer stories.
